RELACIONES CON EL MUNDO MEDITERRÁNEO
La península Ibérica atrajo siempre
a comerciantes y colonos del Mediterráneo occidental en busca de metales y, en menor medida, productos
agrícolas y otras materias primas. La
instalación, a partir del siglo VI11 a.c.
de las factorías fenicias de Cádiz,
Málaga o Almuñécar en la cosfa andaluza y, en torno al 600 a.c., de las
colonias griegas de Ampurias y Rosas
en la costa catalana fue un factor determinante en el proceso de aculturación del substrato indígena peninsular
que, poco a poco, va asimilando las
influencias y aportes externos hasta
dar lugar, en el siglo VI a.c., a la denominada Cultura Ibérica.
A estos pueblos mediterráneos se
debe el conocimiento del torno de
alfarero, la escritura, el trabajo del
hierro, un urbanismo complejo y el
empleo del adobe, el cultivo de la vid
y del olivo, nuevas creencias religiosas
así como el gusto por la escultura y
otras manifestacionesartísticas.
En tierras valencianas los primeros
contactos comerciales, ánforas y tinajas de origen fenicio, se documentan
desde fechas muy tempranas, a finales
de los siglos VIIIy VI1a.c., en los yacimientos de Saladares de Orihuela,
Penya Negra de Crevillent, Los Villares
de Caudete de las Fuentes o en
Vinarragellde Burriana.
La presencia en nuestro litoral
durante toda la etapa ibérica de ánforas fenicias, griegas, etruscas, púnicas e
itálicas revelan la importancia del
comercio de productos envasados,
como el vino y el aceite, con todo el
mundo mediterráneo. Los iberos practicaban un comercio basado en el intercambio de materias primas, en especial
metales, y productos manufacturados
como tejidos, armamento y salazones a
cambio de productos exóticos como las
vajillas de lujo áticas y helenísticas y
objetos de adorno como los collares
púnicos de pasta vítrea; perfumes y
aceites envasados en ungüentarios.
Tras la conquista romana en el año
218 a.c. hasta el cambio de era, el
área ibérica quedó bajo la influencia
romana viéndose ésta reflejada en los
nuevos gustos itálicos, como es la vajilla de mesa denominada campaniense,
así como en las costumbres, epigrafía
latina, urbanismo e instituciones.

La península Iberica sempre ha

En terres valencianes els primers
contactes comercials, imfores i
gerres d'origen fenici, es documenten
des de dates molt primerenques, al
final dels segles VI11 i VI1 a.c., en els
jaciments de Saladares de Orihuela,
Penya Negra de Crevillent, Los Villares de Caudete de las Fuentes o a
Vinarragell de Borriana.
La presencia en el nostre litoral
durant tota I'etapa iberica d'amfores
fenícies, gregues, etrusques, púniques
i italiques revela la importancia del
comerq de productes envasats, com el
vi i I'oli, amb tot el món mediterrani. Els ibers practicaven un comerq
basat en l'intercanvi de materies primeres, especialment metalls, i p r e
ductes manufacturats, com teixits,
armament i saladures, a canvi de
productes exotics com les vaixelles de
luxe itiques i helenístiques i objectes
d'adornament, com els collars púnics de pasta vítria; perfums i olis
envasats en ungüentaris.
Després de la conquesta romana,
l'any 218 a.c., fins al canvi d'era,
I'area iberica queda sota la influencia romana, i reflecteix els nous gustos itilics, com é s la vaixella de
taula denominada campaniana, com
també en els costums, epigrafia Ilatina, urbanisme i institucions.
