Sala XII
Around a setting that recreates a workshop of traditional coinage pieces from all eras illustrating different aspects of this process are displayed. Minting by hammer was introduced in Greece in the seventh century B.C. and remained until the seventeenth century, becoming a specialized artisan technique, by which, one by one, the currencies of a great part of the history of mankind were produced.
